In addition to Wild Heart’s therapy services and personalized ceremony and retreat offerings, we also invite you to join us for group retreats and community events at Wild Heart Preserve. These events allow us to connect to nature and explore topics of renewal and regrowth in a safe and sacred setting, both in depth and in person. We hope you join us!

We gather on the land of Wild Heart Preserve from 10am to 4pm to slow down, tune into our hearts and the heart of nature, marvel at the beauty around us and together honor the ancient webs of interconnectedness. All ages are welcome.
These open community gatherings are perfect for those seeking an eco-spiritual journey, regardless of their specific religious background, and those who value or are seeking community and shared experiences. Those who are open to exploring spirituality beyond traditional religious frameworks and individuals who appreciate ritual and ceremony as a means of connecting with the sacred may find the symbolic activities and Earth based ceremonies at Wild Heart Sanctuary to be meaningful and spiritually enriching.
Every gathering is unique and centered around a theme. We begin by meeting in a circle and sharing a time of poetry, stories, song, nature practices and ceremony fitting to the month's theme. At each gathering, we also make time for solo wandering on the land. This gives each of us a time to slow down, to venture out to our own sacred quiet time and to listen and connect to the sounds of nature and our own hearts. We return again to our circle for a time of group reflection, blessing and closing ceremony. Learn more about these events below.
Spending time in nature has been linked to improved mental well-being, reduced stress and increased overall happiness. Wild Earth Sanctuary gatherings provide a monthly opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in the healing and grounding energies of the Earth and the sacred land of Wild Heart Preserve.
The rituals and ceremonies performed in Wild Earth gatherings can be deeply symbolic and meaningful. These practices often provide a sense of purpose, marking transitions, honoring the seasons, finding inspiration in the cycles of nature and the interconnectedness of all living things and acknowledging the sacred in everyday life.
The tranquil setting of a Wild Earth Sanctuary provides an opportunity for personal reflection and introspection. Participants may use this time to reflect on their values, life goals and the ways in which they can contribute to the well-being of the Earth.
Spending time outdoors and engaging in activities like walking, hiking or practicing yoga in a natural setting can contribute to physical health. Fresh air, sunlight and physical activity all play a role in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
We often gather to celebrate the changing seasons and life's natural rhythms. This cyclical observance can bring a sense of continuity and meaning.
The natural environment serves as a conducive space for mindfulness and being present in the moment as you tune into your heart and your senses. Practices such as mindfulness meditation, contemplation, honoring and observation of nature can cultivate a deeper sense of awareness and presence.
Engaging in Earth-based spirituality often leads to a heightened awareness of environmental issues and a commitment to sustainable practices. Participants may develop a sense of responsibility for the Earth and take actions to minimize their ecological impact.
Wild Earth gatherings often create a sense of community and shared experience. Participants can build meaningful connections with like-minded individuals, fostering a supportive network that extends beyond the regular gatherings.
We embrace a diversity of spiritual beliefs, practice, and people, creating an inclusive space where individuals from various life, cultural and religious backgrounds can come together in a spirit of openness and acceptance.
Important Notes: Wild Heart Preserve is about a 1.5-hour drive from San Antonio and a 2-hour drive from Austin. We encourage you to make a day or half day of the journey. We welcome you to bring your lunch and take time afterwards to explore the landscape. Fredericksburg is about a 30-minute drive away and is home to many restaurants, local shops and Texas wine tasting.
We will be meeting outdoors in (light) rain or shine, unless driving conditions are unsafe. Hiking shoes or sneakers are necessary for the terrain. Please wear clothing based on the weather. We suggest long pants and dressing in layers.
We will be having a pot luck meal. We will take pause to share a meal together under the majestic Cedar Elms.

Join us for the Spring Wisdom Gathering welcoming the Flower Moon, a symbol of growth, renewal, intention-setting and new beginnings. The opening night’s hilltop ceremony with fire (conditions permitting), drumming, energetic cleansing and ritual lay the grooves of nature-based healing for this weekend gathering.
For thousands of years, indigenous peoples have felt the pull of the pink granite Enchanted Rock natural area located 17 miles north of Fredericksburg. Known as the holy mountain, Enchanted Rock and its extended outcropping, Wild Heart Preserve, are places where Spirits dwell and the land is energetically charged with healing medicine.
At Wild Heart Preserve, you will engage with the natural world in community, exploring our inner and outer landscapes and experience awe and wonder. When we align with our Wild Heart—the part of us that resonates with the rhythms of nature—we find completeness and discover profound connection to the divine.
*This overnight experience features guided hikes and tent camping. Hiking includes walking on uneven surfaces and hilly terrain
